Those of you who freequent our beloved chapel are gonna love this news! Driveway hill work today!
Our bright red friend here is smiling and so are we! The nasty 20 feet of driveway going up the hill from the entry barn is getting a workover today by some nice guys, and we're excited that the smoothness, drainage and functionality will be improved! This last winter has been partcicularly nasty in that hilly, rough spot, and it's not getting better, so it was just time to get something done. We met a guy (Tony) at Johnny's Steak House, and he looked so familiar, I went over and introduced myself and gave him our card. We talked, and he was a really nice guy and said he did dirt work and driveways.... Well, it certainly felt like a God thing and we went for it. His price seems excellent, and we're hoping that the finished product will be excellent. We're kind of working together to figure out the drainage issue, so it may not be a permanent fix, but it's a step in a smoother direction, for sure! Just got a text from Tony and things are moving right along. I know it's not a very 'bridal' post entry, but it's kind of important to be able to get to the chapel of love in one piece! lol!
Otherwise, life is rolling along beautifully, and Emma is doing great with the Instagram account (Caliberoakweddings) and it's getting noticed! Such fun! We've got the first $100 donated for the March 6th fundraiser from General and Mrs. Gibbs, so things are percolating right along. We hope your day is rich with blessings and nice finishing touches!
