Araceli and Michai's ceremony only wedding at the Chapel yesterday was so sweet and very intimate. I set the 20 chairs in a semi-circle near the altar and the chandeliers so the guest could be very close. The weather was in our favor - hard to believe for August 1st at 3:30 in the afternoon it was 93 and very cloudy. Just a sweet couple and the grooms family was delightful. Araceli is originally from Argentina and so all of her family was not able to come, but they lucked out that the photographer also did videography. She had that with her so she was able to video it so then her family could see the ceremony. So cool, the Air B&B that is right across the street is where they stayed. I have a feeling many bookings are going to happen with that place after a family books with the Chapel and is aware of the place across the street. So convenient. I was fortunate to spend sometime with the family on Friday night and this afternoon. We had some wonderful conversations. Hard to believe the 200th wedding will be this fall. Saturday's 'Joy' was the 198th. It is still hard to imagine that the Chapel would turn into a wedding venue when we were building it back 2008-2010. Initially Tim and I felt there was going to be more to this place than our renewal, concerts and charity events, but we didn't know what. It was our Joy and now it is my Joy. I have told a few people that I'm so thankful to have the Chapel to continue our legacy and I can be part of many more couples first moments as married. My heart was just filled with love and warmth once again after yesterday's event. I so look forward to many more couples getting married at the Chapel and become part of our special family. We had 11 for Bible Study tonight. Added another new couple. Just love the fellowship. This week I have 2 visits with potential brides. I'm very excited about that. Not too much else so til next time...make memories.
