Dim and Stephen

Another magical wedding happened at the Chapel this morning. It was the earliest ceremony time - 10 AM. Dim, the bride so much wanted an outdoor wedding so if you have a wedding in July and want outdoors you have to do early. It was a little humid, but not bad and once the ceremony was over and pictures taken everyone moved inside to the air conditioning. It was an intimate wedding of around 40ish guests. They had a delicious meal of baked chicken and fixins, toasts, music, games and visiting. So sweet, even Sarah gave a toast to Rick (that was so touching and very sweet). The guests were all so nice and very complimentary. They gave a shut out to me and Brandy (thanks again Brandy for working). Once again I have acquired some wonderful items for the Chapel. Last week the family left the lanterns and candles that are hung by each light fixture in the big room. Had them lit today. They actually look like they have been there. So, today I acquired 2 beautiful pink and white flower arrangements. I feel confident future brides will use them. This week I'll have to share the cross and flowers by the chandeliers. It was SO beautiful. After the wedding today had a short visit with one of the fall brides - slight change in linens. Crazy to think since it is almost August that the fall weddings will be starting up. I did book another summer ceremony for August just the other day. Very excited about that and have a mom and bride coming down from Dallas in August to see the place for a potential 2027 wedding. So thrilled and thankful of the activity going on at the Chapel. Speaking of that check out the Friends of the Salado Public Library facebook post for the upcoming October event at the Chapel. Volunteers are still needed. It is going to be another great event.
