The donations are already fluttering into the fishbowl for Sunday's event!
We started planning this event last winter and are so thankful it's coming to fruition! Wags, Hope and Healing....one of our favorite rescue agencies....is the beneficiary of game night this Sunday. We've had several lovely folks already stop by and mail in contributions for the event, even though they can't be here! Brandie Grant helped us upgrade to a cool fishbowl for the proceeds, and they're planning to come as well. If anyone is interested, and hasn't let Denise kno

The excitement is building for August 5!
We are getting pretty excited for the August 5th fun night to benefit Wags, Hope and Healing! Many thanks to Marlo and George for turning us on to this at rehearsal dinner, and so many fun hours have been spent playing the game! If you're coming, be sure Denise knows so that we get enough refreshments for everyone! Have had a very nice time with Pam and Bruce being here for a few days. They came down from Oklahoma to visit, and he was our best man when we were married in 1

Gives a whole new meaning to the phrase 'hot wax'! Wow!
I just realized, as I looked at this picture on the blog post that this whole scene reminds me of being in the garage in Cherry Valley at Grandma Eifer's in the 60's/70's. The same oil-based smells and genuine mechanics... Anyway.....Miss Emmy Lou was given her first 'hot wax' (since it was 100 degrees when it happened) treatment yesterday, and she's shining as a result. The top of the car must have been painted not terribly long before Shane and Julie got her, and it's i

Can one really have too much vintage pattern? Methinks NOT!
One of our trademark looks here at Caliber Oak is pattern on pattern on pattern! Some love it, and it causes OCD overload for others. So thankful, our newest bride, Brittany, is going for a patterned textile look for her big day, and it'll be amazing! In this photo, we're preparing for a proud moment with Assistant Chief Jason Smith of the PPD, and toasted him and his promo with a bottle of champagne avec Chambord. Mais Oui! Waterford crystal, vintage waverly, portugese

"...and I'm gonna be a diiiaaammond some dayyyyy"
As our beloved John Anderson sang in one of my favorite songs, our new, little Emmy Lou may be a bit of a lump of coal right now, but she'll certainly be a diamond someday. Well, maybe not a diamond, since she's going to always be a fun runabout rather than a show car, but we already figure she'll get to the point where she's dressed up enough for just the right bride and groom departure. In the meantime, she needs about 800 hours of work and thousands of euros to get her t

Love this blast from the past at Jamie & Cameron's wedding!
I saw these two on Facebook the other day, just having fun, hanging out and eating great at Waco's Health Camp restaurant. It was such a good reminder that couples who have married their best friends really do enjoy life greatly. We are so thankful to know Jamie and Cameron, and it looks like their even happier today than the day of this photo! Although, they were happy then too...we had an outstanding wedding! All the details that were put into making the decor and speci

We just love the way this groom rolls!
This is one of our favorite grooms, Rory, blasting away at an unnamed bad guy target a the range a short time ago. Rory is a hero to us, not only because his career is taking care of people in his job but also because the bravery, solidity and positive nature he's displayed since the nasty wreck that took his leg on duty last year. It's been a long journey for he and Amy both, but the skies are brighter than they were, and he's always got a place to 'sight in' his latest fi
