A special return to the chapel!
We love the fact that Ginger and Clint came back to see us AND stay over night this weekend! Such a special couple and such great memories of a wonderful wedding weekend a while back. We forget how different this place is... I'm thinking there are not many places where you book your wedding and friendships bloom to the point of returns again and again.... But that's one of the biggest blessings we receive here. Our very special-est couples returning to the place that it

They're baaaaack. And aren't we glad!
Sometimes, when you're living a blessed and magic life, you take for granted the beauty that's around you. Not with these smell-gooders around! The entire pasture is steeped in the sweet lupine smell of the bluebonnets, and it's such a tangible reminder that spring is here. Frequently, since we live on-site, we forget the little things that make our place different than so many others. In this case, I'd have to say privacy. We've been to weddings where the venue is 'righ

What in the world is going on HERE?
Well, if this is part of a wedding, it'd be one of the strangest yet, but fear not......it's singing bowls after yoga! McKenzie brought her singing bowls to the chapel, and they were amazing! Ignore the baster brush in this photo....the mallets got left behind. No matter, since the sounds and feels were truly awesome in our acoustically delightful space. Just another reason do do yoga here every other week (check the events section) to see just who might show up! Stretch

And what kind of hippy-freaky grandpa bizarro selfie do we have going on here?
A photo like this doesn't exactly instill confidence from a bride and groom about Cap handling their wedding, but be not afraid. He doesn't wear flip flops to your big day...just so we're clear on that! This picture shows how immensely clean the Fleetwood is after James does his magic, and I thought the Cadillac Fleetwood logo would be a cool pic. THEN I saw my crazy flip flops and weird angle in the photo. Delete it, NO! This shows that we're a lot of fun behind the sce

This photo captures the joy in what we do!
When the bride and groom insisted on taking a photo with the team that helped make their wedding day a smash success, I actually thought....really? How neat is that. Well, I would never have imagined how tremendous this photograph would have turned out. Everyone looks so very satisfied and happy. I was heart-warmed the moment I pulled this photo up on my phone at Barrow Brewing last night, and couldn't wait to get it posted. It says it all for me... An outstanding bride

The very first Caliber Oak bluebonnet sighting of the season!
They're baaaaaack. Thank heavens. Our favorite Texas hallmark of spring. We're hearing that due to weather conditions since last spring, that we may have a bumper crop of these lovelies this spring. Bring. It. On. Nothing livens up the Chapel scene like bluebonnets. When there's a large group of them blooming in the chapel environ, the beautiful fragrance is almost intoxicating. Well, as intoxicating as things can get during Lent, anyway! What a blessing that we are t

Not every girl who visits the chapel is a bride....yet!
This is a photo from a totally unexpected and fun day when the Wolf Pack were in town. What a fun chance to catch up, and Robert even got to make loud noises at the range! Such a great couple this is, and the girls are amazingly wonderful. Don't you just love surprises? Well, the Lenten Season has rolled around again this year and we're ready. This years dietary and beverage observations are pretty strong, but definitely worth it. We're headed out in a few minutes for o
