When these two colors start to appear on stage at the chapel, you know it's that time of year!
Gearing up for the holidays is always fun, and this year's charity event calendar is crazy full. We've got 3 different Christmas parties at the chapel, and are looking forward to each of them. The photo here is one of my favorite combinations, which is actually 'acid' green and burgundy. Together, though, I think they do a delightful homage to The Grinch, and they make the room very festive and fun. The Christmas tree looks amazing in the corner! Now, if we can get the

Here's some hat-wearin' tea sippers! Some of them came all the way from Houston for the event!
Well, Two of them here are local, but Lori lives way down in Houstonland and still made the effort to be here. We missed her boyfriend, the delightful '713', but still had a great time and a truly fun visit. Noelle's dress was an absolute knockout. I know we've said it before, but it's true! Brittany's hat totally steals the show, however! Noelle and Brittany are both brides from our beloved chapel, and it's always so fun to have them come back for events. Wedding Home

Finally getting to post this amazing photo from an amazing wedding with an amazing bride and groom!
Jarrah & Mike's wedding was anything but typical! Since she's Crotty Funeral Home and he's Central Texas' star mortician....well, you can just imagine that the wedding was VERY interesting and cool. From the Crotty Hearse in the driveway for the photo ops to the beautiful black bridal gown and the deeper tones all about, the event was a smash. They were a delight to work with and we're so thankful that they're right here in Salado so that we'll get to see them! Their 'su

Is that chapel rose not just near absolute perfection? They've been hard to come by this season!
We love roses, and they're so frequently a fragrant and meaningful part of what we do at the chapel.. Unfortunately, our friend Mary told us about a 'rose disease' that's affecting Texas growers, and it's evident here. Maybe things will be better next season, but this bloom shows no indication of drama or trauma! We'll probably include this in our annual cards collection....Mrs. Boss knows how to take a photo! Hope everyone is have a terrific day today! We're meeting wit

Love this photo from Samantha and Richard's wedding! Chloe is like FOOD IS HERE! It was so great!
You can just never have enough Mi Pueblo in your life! They catered with excellence for last weekend's wedding, but finding a place for 89000 lbs of food was the challenge! Everyone went away from the tables full, and there was enough to feed another army the next day! Well done, and beautifully handled by our expert staff of Norma, Chloe and Missy! Such a fun wedding. Repairs to the floor continue at the chapel and we're debating on finishes. After thinking we were goin

Sunday's charity fundraiser is now up to $1,700 in funding due to yet another donor!
As if Sunday's performance could have been any more fun, we're up to $1700 as a result of the generosity of Lynda and Richard Bean's donation while they were here for book club last night. The Unincluded Club will certainly benefit from this money, and the wise guidance they will be providing to others will make a great deal of difference. Don't forget, if you're involved in a charity and need a special place for $0 to raise money......we just might be that place! We've

Do these not just look good enough to eat?!?!?! But don't, they're real gourds and would be yucky!
This is the perfect insight to Samantha and Richard's magical wedding here this weekend. These little seeded babies were scattered all about, and when brought back together for outbound transport, still looked magical in a pile! Such a nice, relaxed fall look, and anyone who serves 600 Round Rock Doughnut holes at their wedding clearly knows how to throw.a.party! The whole event was magic from start to finish, with two wonderful families coming together in a blessed day of

As we head into today's wedding, I must ask myself...how did THIS photo happen at Sarah's wedding?
I gotta run and unlock the gate in a minute for today's wedding festivities to begin, but this sneak peek of the ceremony at Otto and Sarah's wedding made me laugh out loud! What the hell is happening here? I don't think it's when she hollered "I SARAH" at the beginning of her vows, so I'm super curious. The look is priceless...and if you know me at all, I probably just said one of my catch phrases I love so much... "No refunds". LOL! Such a riot of a shot and I can't e

How many brides and grooms have been married right in the very spot of this tea time pair?
Such a lovely duo on a lovely tea time matinee kinda day! Susan and Jennifer are enjoying a bit more than tea here, frankly, since we rarely (make that nevah!) serve tea in champagne flutes! That can mean only one thing.........their beverage of choice was the fruit-i-licious tea time tradition of the Chilled Madras! One of Mrs. Boss' favorite beverages, it's become the staple of each annual tea since that one year where husband's had to be called for 'pick-up', since stra

It's hard to find more hats in one place just about anywhere, except for the Kentucky Derby!
The tea was flowing and champagne specialties bubbling recently for the annual tea. Mrs. Boss wanted me to get this post out here so that she could see the 'best of' group shot. Clearly, my photography skills are NOT those of Jennifer or Rachel or dozens of others, but at least we got one 1/2 way decent shot of the attendees. Unfortunately, Jody had to leave before this shot was taken (and maybe one other guest?) but at least we've got evidence of smiles and a good time.
