Color, artistry, meaning, and spirituality. Some weddings seem to have it all...
It would be one thing, to go buy this featured piece from K&S's wedding at the 'sto'. It's completely something else for the bride's daughter to find such a special and unique mirror, paint it, letter it, and scroll it for her mom's wedding day. Every element of this is amazing...from the color to the artwork to the care involved. Brava, Brittany, very well done. As a matter of fact, when you get a chance, I'd seriously like a few lessons on lettering/scrollwork like this

Super Classy Bride Alert! This is the way to depart your reception, y'all!
Not only was Kimberly's second dress of the evening absolutely beautiful, she was 'fur-real' ready for any weather with this beautiful, vintage mink from her family collection. There's just something about a vintage, fur, retro departure that has us all worked up! Well done, Kimberly... and we're still on a high from your outstanding wedding day and beautiful reviews! Well, I just got off the massage table after Branch did his magic this evening, and the boss is undergoing

Wedding cookies that were not only beautiful, but de-lish-ussssss!
So many details of Kimberly and Shane's wedding were very special and well thought out. These amazingly beautiful and mighty tasty cookies were just such an example! Adorned with great icing, and custom created for their special day, the taste was amazing. Thanks to the two of them for sharing such a special bond with us, and letting us help make their biggest of days happen! Not too crazy around the chapel today. Brandie has things sparkling, and we're excited about Taylor

Always ready to depart for the wedding night of your dreams.......
Love the way Miss Alice Fleetwood is kind of tucked in the 'take off' position here, ready to sweep a bride and groom to their first night as husband and wife. That Miss Alice....always ready to make the evening special and always so elegantly good looking! An exciting week at the chapel that started on Monday morning! A certain excellent couple was in dire need of a venue for their wedding, since their current location got rained out. Never fear...Caliber Oak is here! It

This could be the start of something cool!
After we got the car barn cleaned out enough to give EmmyLou (the 1951 Chevrolet) her own room, we realized we still had several old windows that were just kind of rotting there in the building. Well, I brought this one up to the main house (love the mud dobber nest!) and after getting corner strengthened, it looks like this could end up being some kind of neat hanging project for the chapel with some white/offwhite stenciling/painting/lettering. We'll see what happens. Me

Kind of an impressionist rose bush kinda thing!
This photo turned out really kind of cool, and it's such a blessing to have roses in bloom at this time of the year! Cooler temperatures, combined with MASSIVE amounts of wonderful rain have made rose blossoms prolific for the last 2 weeks at the chapel. They'll be so lovely for this weekend's festivities! Gravel delivered today so that I don't get muddy washing cars! Trail cameras getting tweaked for the bow hunting and a second feeder being updated to bring in even more

Are you ever just in the mood for a little Carmon & Ben?
Days are just a little brighter with a little Carmon and her Hus-Ben sprinkled on top! While they continue to move further away from their little wedding chapel-0-love, (Alaska now, really?!?!?), We continue to wish them well and keep them in their prayers as they move forward in this excellent adventure called marriage! A fab.u.locity visit this weekend with our dear friends, Naju and Bomi, and they bought the MGB while they were here! Woohooo! Bridget has a new home, an

What if a bride did a wedding with beautiful zinnias?
As one of our favorite flowers here at the chapel, the classic zinnia holds a special place in our hearts. We've always thought it would be an amazing flower to use for weddings, since it's sturdy, colorful and happy! A 'zinnia themed' wedding would be so colorful and so very retro. Kind of a 40's feel with the right containers. We're sure it'll happen one day, and in the meantime, we just keep enjoying these beautiful blooms for days on end around here! Quiet day this mo

This color palette says, "Wedding Serenity"...
We have a wedding on the books in which the colors of this photograph will grace the table, and we cannot wait! The first time this combination of juniper and teal has been used this way in the chapel, and the theme is 'bringing the outdoors in'. It's going to be natural, woodsy, and genuinely unique. This excellent couple knows what they want and the color choices and decor are certainly in keeping with who they are! Again, cannot wait! Bring on the pinecones and buffal
