Festive AND delicious. It was a great excuse to use this crazy expensive pan I got from Williams-Sonoma or King Arthur that rarely gets hot. The event at John and Jolene's was wonderful and everything tasted great....esp the potato chips, which I dont eat at home!
All is wonderful at the chapel. The large, red ornaments on near the front porch will get about 2 more days of display before the holiday is over, and things look pretty green and bright for this time of year, with temperatures in the 80's! Wow! Merry Christmas, indeed!
The chapel Christmas tree was especially neat this year, since it had all metallic ornaments on an aluminum tree, which spoke to our inner-mid century modern hearts. Every gathering over the holidays was great, and we've got a couple more to go. Gearing up for wedding season is always fun, and it'll be here before we know it!
Again, for 2026, no price increase in having a wedding at the chapel. This makes our 9th year in a row of no price changes, and we're proud that even though we don't make any money, we have a special place where virtually everyone can afford a special wedding. Soldiers, law enforcement, nurses, teachers, etc. (oh, even fire-dudes!) It's a wonderful gift to be able to give back!
Ok, it's time to start gearing up for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, so we'll run. Merriest of Christmases and see you in '26!
