Another delightful wedding - Lindsey and Eddie

This past Saturday the wedding of Lindsey and Eddie and it was delightful. They are such a sweet couple. Congratulations to the 2 of you again. Since many of the guests flew in from Scotland, they decided to have bag pipes play during the prelude music. That was absolutely cool. He played for about 30 minutes. The air that someone has to have to play that is amazing. I think as a flute player we have to have a lot of air, but bag pipes I believe out do us. It was a beautiful wedding. Thanks to the Chapel family, Jolene and Sheri helped with setting up, dinner, cleaning up etc... And John Bruce had 3 roles - he got to officiate (his first wedding at the Chapel (I know it won't be his last), he bartended and then he drove the couple to town. I so appreciate the extra help from the Chapel family. And when I retire in December and will be working on getting more bookings I will be looking for others interested in setting up and working weddings. If interested please let me know. The weekend before was the sweetest 13th birthday party. The 13th year olds grandfather passed away and she was taking it hard. So the mom contacted me if I could do a birthday party. It sure was easy for me - brought out chairs and tables. Mom did the decorating. Aspen was the birthday girl. What a neat name. She was so excited and so appreciative of her parents throwing this party for her. And all of her other young friends were just as sweet as her, well mannered and just wanted to make her day special. I'm so glad the Chapel was available for that night. I have one more wedding on the books for this year in November and the music charity event on December 6th. Hard to believe it is almost holiday season. Then the New Year right around the corner. Speaking of that - brides and grooms: wedding homecoming will be early this year. It will be Saturday, July 9th. I'll be sending out punchbowl invites in mid November. I know it is going to be a hard one, but I am not stopping any traditions or events that Rick and I did together. Those events were too fun and special "they must go on". And Rick's stories will always be told...there are just too many. We all will have a great time. Already confirmed Vance can do it. Well it is a work night so I need to close. So until next time "make memories". Saying that love seeing so many brides and grooms making trips - y'all are making those memories.
