Chapel Blog | Our weddings, events and news

This has GOT to be one of my favorite photographs ever posted on the Chapel blog. Jolene took this arial shot of the outdoor place settings at Jess & Sam's wedding, and it's beautiful! Def our look!

The antique china settings, whether for supper or for a bistro/cocktail setup, create such a special feel that is a perfect theme marriage for the chapel. We're so blessed to have so many very cool patterns, and the sage chargers in this photo are our favorites with the look. We never thought every single antique pattern would look good on the sage, but the color seems to 'bend' the palate of the colourway. Even the neat 'yellow rose of Texas' plates that Mary Jo gave us look great with it. Even though away from the chargers, the greenery on those plates is clearly more of a kelly green, when they are paired with the sage chargers, they 'turn' sage and look incredible. We're so blessed with this look that is elegant and homespun at the very same time. Just like our brides and grooms! It's no wonder so many of our couples select the vintage china for their big day. We're always on the lookout for more pieces, since sometimes during larger events, we could always use more. They're getting harder to find at flea markets and garage sales, but we've also been blessed many times by friends of the chapel who don't use the antique china that's been left to them. As a result, these sets get to see the light of day, the feel of linens and the joys of being used and appreciated. It's a lovely part of the porcelain 'circle of life'! .......and a ton of fun!

Getting ready for Art and Sue's arrival today and their big day tomorrow. We know it'll be wonderful! Blessings to one and all for a great weekend of frivolity and enjoyment!
