Some wedding guests never go home and observe from the sidelines! We wonder how many weddings that this Kitchen Aid has witnessed at our beloved chapel. About 184 at least, according to our numbers!

Ok, frankly, I never thought about a stand mixer having much of a personality until this year's Wedding Homecoming party. That night, Lisa Hagood gave the mixer and the coffee maker each a pair of googlie eyes, and we just couldn't part with them afterward! It's a smile maker every time we walk into the chapel kitchen.........esp the mixer! The attachment port on the front of the mixer motor works really well as kind of a nose/snout and gives the mixer a great personality. Sadly, the picture isn't as clear as we'd like, but still, it gives you the feel of what's going on in the enchanted kitchen of the most magical chapel!

Getting ready for this mixer to get a bit of a workout. Lamb cake, pistachio and cherry cheesecake, and some structural icing for a special project that we're making to support our theme for this year's Easter Sunday. We're looking at 44 guests, and we'd normally have the celebration @ the enchanted cottage, but based on the weather this year, we'll be indoors and hoping for a respite of no rain so that the Rugh and Thomssen cornhole boards can come out for some gentle, resurrection-day competition. Excited about ham, turkey, taters and a million other culinary confections being brought, and hopefully enough sunshine to blossom the cross as well! Happpy Easter! ....or as we say around here in a Big, Fat, Greek Wedding way, "Christos Anesti!".
