Chapel Blog | Our weddings, events and news

It's almost garden party book club time, and the blooms are everywhere! These dried flowers were the base of the table decor project @ the lake, and Stacy did a great job of making it happen! Yay!

We thought that the table looked really pretty! We're working on the menu, beverages, decor, setup, and clothing for the 6th Anniversary celebration of the Motley Book Club. As I tell people at least once a week, research was quoted that said the average book club in America lasts 1.5 years. 6 years is quite an accomplishment. We're so thankful to have the anniversary party at the chapel each year where the whole thing started. Pretty cool, and just plain pretty! This group has had ups and downs, twists and turns, growth and constriction, but the pages consider to get turned and the audiobooks continue to get downloaded. We're thankful for this group and really have enjoyed it tremendously!

You can tell some serious work was done at the chapel today to the tune of $,$$$! Tony came and made the road all better and spread a whole bunch of decomposed granite in the circle, terrace and walkway. Mighty outstanding looking, and we're hoping we can wait another 3 years before we have to fix damage caused by 10-11 inches of rain in one day! Yikes! He does tremendous work, and is a pretty darned good guy for a firefighter! (cop v. fireman humor there!)

Ok, more tasks to be done. Hope everyone is enjoying the springtime weather, blooming flowers, and a spring in their step. God bless us every one!
