Boho Elegance. Just Can't Get Enough!

So, there I was, just minding my own business today on Instagram while I hid under the down comforter from the damp cold outside. A photo came up of a runner at an outdoor ceremony of an oriental patterned rug. I was hooked (har har...see what I just did there?) immediately, and think it's just the right touch for boho elegance to really shine. Many of you know that I'm not a fan of an outdoor runner here at our location due to the uneven ground and general lack of necessity for it... BUT......what if this bohemian kind of addition was awaiting the bride and groom at their 'marital ground zero' where the officiant is going to perform the ceremony? Just a thought. It'd certainly be a weather-permitting kind of thing, but we just love us some patterned rug, and for the right couple, the look would be luxe and authentic. Think about it. Try the rug. Love the rug. :)

...not much happening in chapel land as the old Cap recovers from another excellent round of year end festivities! Had a wonderful brunch in the chapel on NYDay, and are looking forward to having a special friend stay here for a few days! Bathroom rennovations are not quite finished, but all should be well by Wedding Homecoming, which will be here before we know it. I think we're up to like 60 folks for this event, and we're so looking forward to rocking the house with our brides and grooms! What a tremendous tradition, and SO MUCH FUN. .... Really would like to do some gardening/landscaping touch up here and there, but the weather has been so puny that we're just not braving it. ...Also getting excited about our very basic, very laid back very first open house on January 27th. Should be fun and Rachel and Jeff confirmed they're going to be here as well. Hopefully, we'll get some recently engaged folks to come sniff us out!

His time. It's not ours. An excellent guy passed away this week who was a Follower and a leader. He will be missed, but also, we know he's having a hum-dinger of a time at the Big House, upstairs. God bless you, Deacon Dave Shoemake, for all the difference you made in so many lives!
