THIS is an amazingly beautiful bride!

  
This photograph of Melinda is just breathtaking, and our hope is to get it into the face page carousel for the website.  She's stunningly beautiful, and her genuine personality and charm show through as well.  The flowers are amazing, and the entire effect is enchanting.  Jordan Overturf is an excellent photographer who can truly capture the essence of a bride on her biggest of days.  We are so blessed to have had Melinda here as our bride, and to have Jordan in our stable.  Beautiful. 
  
Working on a very small painting project at the chapel this morning and then other errands and tasks.  Going to get some help setting up for the Ronald McDonald House charity event on Sunday this week, so that should move together smoothly.  Had a wonderful dinner at the chapel together last night with some excellent Dover sole and roasted acorn squash.  Who said Lent had to be boring!  We were able to enjoy a wonderful service at St. Joseph's in Salado and then a rare shopping trip to the south.  Had lunch at Souper!Salads! and then headed to the Round Rock Premium Outlets....we NEVER go there, and I got two excellent suits for the upcoming wedding season (I'm officiating quite a bit...blush) and some great books for Lenten reading.  We got home with enough daylight to get our 3 mile walk in, and ended the day truly thanking God for each other and our wonderful life together on this Valentine's Day. 
  
Touching simple things and being thankful.  That's the ticket....as Grandma Thomssen would say!  Being appreciative of everything you have and being happy with the simplest of gifts He gives you is truly the path to joy here on earth.  Have a wonderful, blessed day.  We pray for healing for many situations, and continued guidance and blessings in our lives.   Have a GREAT one!

This stained glass window welcomes everyone to the chapel kitchen! It was one of the first things we bought when we were building the place, and the colors and pattern are just right for our look!

We get to see some brides and grooms all the time, and it's really fun! Supper at Hettie and Chad's last was no exception. They're house is coming along beautifully, and it's fun to be involved!

Tea Ladies doing their thing. Lynda, Karen, Lisa, Emmy and Susan are supping and dining on the annual tea fare at the chapel. Hats are looking pretty great here, and everyone wore one! Way cool!

Who says the Consigliere doesn't work hard around here?!? Here's our hero making sure the world is safe for white bread sammiches! I love Samantha's super classy hat look here! First tea for her!

Check out this tea party, fun-dango kinda shot! Clearly, again this year, hats were required, and there were quite a few of them. From picture frame hats to fascinators, colors and shapes abound!

It is to laugh........... The ladies say that they're coming to the annual tea party for tea, sandwiches, sweets and sparkling beverages and conversation. ...It's really for the CHEESEcake!

Happiness as a couple is palpable with these two. It was an honor to have their wedding ceremony at the chapel, and an even greater honor to have performed the rite. Art and Sue are a delight!

Totally fun teatime for the ladies! Everyone dressed in hats and sipping away. They loved the raspberry cocktail almost as much as the tea! Outstanding day that was all about Mrs. Boss's posse!

For those of you 'in the know', this chapel is truly our Joy. This is particularly evident in this photo of Samantha about 2 minutes after getting married. Mrs. Boss knows how to express joy!!!

This has GOT to be one of my favorite photographs ever posted on the Chapel blog. Jolene took this arial shot of the outdoor place settings at Jess & Sam's wedding, and it's beautiful! Def our look!
