Toasting to Happiness!
Last night's wedding of our new friend, the lovely Karen to our old friend Bill was tremendous. Elegant, classy, tasteful....all of the above. Dr. Carl Bradley's piano talents always lend a rich patina to the events and the food catered by Bill's Wildfire Restaurant in Georgetown was some of the finest ever served at the chapel. A truly grand affair on an intimate and meaningful platform. Flowers were stunning in their simplicity, and everyone seemed to have a great time.

Trellis Roses are back, and very pretty!
If you're a regular follower of this page, you'll know this photo looks almost exactly like a picture from last spring. No matter. How many cool roses can you enjoy in the springtime? Unlimited! One of the only 'red' roses at Caliber Oak, this climber shows itself to be healthy again this year, and greeted guests for Stacie and Larry's wedding beautifully, and will make a lovely showing at the upcoming wedding this week. The pink roses are blooming beautifully, too, and w

Vendor Spotlight - Carol Redman
One of our wonderful brides, Mara, asked me this weekend about the excellent seamstress that Denise and I had told her about, and I took this photo of Carol's card. Thought it would be fun to share with all, since alteration needs come up quite frequently for many folks. Carol has done some wonderful work for both Denise and I, and Denise relies on her exclusively for modifications to her new year's eve gowns. Excellent work, very fair pricing, and nice and quick turn-arou

Wedding Homecoming with Amanda & Nathan!
I know, I know.........I'm crazy slow at getting the WHD photos out this year. Something to keep tuning in for, non? Here are our wonderful Amanda and Nathan in a great shot of happiness and light! We were so glad they could make it this year, and hope to see their shining faces much more in the future! I can still taste the yummy food from dinner that night, and we had such a great time. Is it wrong to already looking forward to WHD '18?!?? We are! Not much going on at

A little more fun with the Terrills!
As I slowly get photos out from the Tex Appeal photo shoot day, it's fun to see these folks in action. Thank you again, Julie, for such great shots and fun memories! A wonderful day at the chapel today, as we prepare for this weekend's grand adventure with S&L! Got lots done today with Angie's help, and little remains for setup between now and the event. Beautiful weather at the chapel today, and we'll need to do some weed/lawn cutting before the weekend. Supposed to rain

Between the gate and the chapel, spring is springing!
Always one of our favorite sights during the year is the return of the beautiful bluebonnets! Spring is truly just around the corner if these little fellows are here, and these are just along the road on the way up to the chapel. Truly pretty and genuinely smelling good, if you get enough of them together. Welcome, spring! Wonderful day at the chapel today, and got some great finds at the Bell County Garage Sale to benefit the Bell County Museum. Found 4 plates for $5 tha

They're baaaaaaaack! Thank Goodness!
This is actually the second blossom I've seen this year, but the first one got kind of nasty looking from all the rain. Love these pink roses, and we're so thankful to have them here. So many brides have enjoyed weddings with them in bloom, and they do pretty decently during the hot summer as well. Rock on, pink roses! A wonderful day at the chapel. It all began with this week's installment of "Bird house bonanza" with Cindy. Today's event took a little different directio

When pretty marries charming...it's ALL good!
What a wild and wet Saturday we had this weekend for Ashley and Gus' wedding, but it was MAGICAL, despite the rain that never.stopped.all.day! We almost went for the outdoor ceremony, and at the last minute called in 'plan B' and THANK GOD we did! The rain really came down during the ceremony and reception. No matter, however, since these two cool cats took everything so beautifully in stride and just dealt! They are both so delightful, and Ashley looked amazing in her p

Some kids get ALL the cool stuff!
After Kelly saw the amazing Golden Books bird houses that Cindy and I have been creating for the past few weeks, she asked for a Pooh version. Amazingly, out of the books Angie had provided to us, there was a Pooh book in the group! As a result, Colt's Pooh bird house (this is the back, btw) is finished as of today, and we hope it'll look great in his room. Apparently, he's a big WTP fan, so this should be a hit. You GO, Pooh! :) Started the day right with our bird house

TAMUC Music Team ROCKS Fundraiser!
A truly excellent day and evening from start to finish! Denise and I were blessed to be able to host the Texas A&M University Commerce Music/Opera department at the chapel for a performance fundraiser. We were amazed and thankful that approximately $1,700 was raised last night! Woooooohooo! While it's not all about the money....it really helps! The audience was totally impressed with the talent of these 8 performers, and so were we! The team earned at least an extra $30
