Another Lisha's Luncheon Favorite!
It's funny how the selfie stick always makes the Cap look like he's rather confused, but we weren't confused about the fun we were having with our wonderful friend, Lisha! Lisha and I worked together over 20 years ago and when she came to visit, it seemed like just yesterday. Facebook can be a trial at times, but this part of it is really golden...reconnecting with special people. We're glad Lisha's back in Texas, and she's already planning to return to the chapel for the

So dang cute, and people notice!
Can't get enough of the creative Kite Fest pins that Cindy Cashion has made! They're certainly attention grabbers, and when people stop you and say, 'what is THAT' on your shirt or jacket.... We get the festival marketing we sought to gain! :) The chapel just wouldn't be the same without Cindy's creativity and spirit! Well, the Ol' Cap has struck again. Technologically challenged as he is, he tried (for the first time at 11:24 p.m. after Mrs. Boss was asleep) to download

Our kind of chapel romance! Semi-auto!
..."The couple that shoots together, stays together"...Well, what could possibly be more romantic than a St. Valentine's Day celebration that involves selecting your wedding vows and getting to shoot your new pistol?!?!?? Match made in heaven, right there! The day started out with M&G coming to go over their vows with Cap, and then the announcement was made that our wonderful new bride has bought an excellent new gun for her groom for St. Valentine's Day! Well, needless to

The posters are here! The posters are here!
...And they look amazing! Many thanks to the talented Jordan Overturf of Overturf Media and Consulting! I was supposed to get this done in December, and Jordan had to finally send the file to make it happen! No matter. Thanks to KK and Sheri for producing and delivering! Just in time for this week's Kite Fest Planning Meeting, so you'll be seeing them around town. Anyone wanting one...just let us know, and also please feel free to share this graphic so that we can get f

Guess who stopped by the chapel this week!
As Lent begins to loom on the horizon, the chapel has become somewhat of a 'last chance cafe' for French food and butter and cream! The irreplaceable Mrs. Child ("Mme Sheeeild"...a la Francais!) has been wowing us once again with her delectable dishes. The chapel kitchen has such a French feel that it's like she's trodding the boards with us! Looking forward to an upcoming 'team preparation' dinner.....or at least that's the intent! Stay tuned and keep those copper pots gl

Sometimes, wear and tear = beauty!
A photo similar to this may have been posted a while back, but we just love it when this happens. At a certain time, almost every day, the light is just right in the chapel kitchen window, and it casts a shadow through the stained glass that echoes on the floor. While the shadow hasn't changed, we love the worn, old-world effect of the floorboards at this stage. Lots of folks would probably repaint, renew....nope. Every chip, crack, scuff and imperfection is a reminder of

And it's OFFICIAL! Welcome you two!
Congratulations to the lovely K&S on selecting the Chapel at Caliber Oak for their biggest of days! They came Sunday, and the gate was open so they rolled on up and took the tour. Our newest bride cried about 5 times during the tour, so I think she liked it quite a bit! Both are very local, and we're thrilled that they're having their wedding here. Wednesday night we sealed the deal, and our Apprentice from the Belton CofC/UMHB program, Sara, was even in attendance to exp
