How can it be a year already!?!? Wow...time flies!
It's been a year already for this amazing bride and her wedding team! Kyrstin & Trevor have already been married that long, and we had such a fun adventure with these two loyal ladies to made sure everything happened! Such an excellent day and such a photogenic couple. Solid memories of a tremendous ceremony and reception. Blessing to y'all, and congratulations on the 1 year celebration! Well, today is Memorial Day, and we're thinking of those who sacrificed everything to

A wonderful wedding memory!...Kelly & Sammy!
Taking a few minutes today to reminisce on the magical wedding of Kelly & Sammy. Great memories are made of times like this. We're also so very excited about the baptism of Colt at the chapel, which continues our wonderful connection and life event sharing! Kelly is working on a special project (s) for the chapel, which is made all the MORE special, since she's one of our very magical brides. We are so honored by strong couples like Kelly & Sammy staying in our circle...a

The quiet anticipation of a truly great event...
Sometimes, the moments before a wedding can be truly enjoyable. This was the case for Kelsey & Dillon's big day. Even though the chandeliers aren't lit yet, the anticipation evident in this photograph really sets the 'stage' for a special celebration of love and commitment. The weather couldn't have been more perfect, and the red sashes add just the right compliment to the green-ness of outdoors. Simple, refined and tasteful. Loved it! Not to mention, we had a wonderfu

And at the end of the day, you have a lovely book of clippings...
Did a little organizing at the chapel this morning, and actually put some photos, invitations, save-the-dates, etc. into the 'scrapbook' for safekeeping. Such a pleasure to be able to roll through this book about every month or so and reflect and remember on such wonderful times these old boards have seen. We are thankful to God for such an opportunity to be the place where so many fun and happy memories have happened! Viva Chapel! Pretty laid back day, with the most excit

Spring ends and summer slaps you in the face!
Wow. Our first real day of what I'd call 'summer weather', and we're certainly not prepared for it! I feel like this pot of coleus, etc., on the back porch. Kinda dry, kinda tired, kinda....what the heck just happened!?! It's all good, however, on God's green earth........just wasn't QUITE ready for 90 degrees today! Always could be worse (and we'll get there! :)) but it really was a surprise after such temperate and delightful spring weather. Hang on, dear coleus...all

A truly happy pair during their first dance!
We really love the joy in this photo, and it's kind of funny because the 'first dance' almost didn't happen. Apparently, Dillon does NOT dance, and it was going to be awkward, stumbly and clunky. Nay, Nay, I say! It turned out just wonderfully, and the couple looked very elegant! Kelsey's dress was cinderella-esque, and really carried the day. They both looked so sharp during the ceremony and reception. We know they really had a great wedding, and both enjoyed it treme

Well.......Those Royals & their dogs. Really!
Well, apparently, some of the Royals are being married at the chapel tomorrow! The English variety have nothing on these two, as they are totally prepared, and 'parade ready' for the event. The heir to the throne seems completely at ease in his new position as leader of the household...with the trusted Minnie as his advisor! Princess Kelsey seems up to the challenge and yet.........rather curious about the events to come... Even her trusted companion, Mushroom, seems to b

What a peaceful place this is for so many.
Sarah took us to supper at Miller's in Belton last night, and it was EXCELLENT! Afterward, we opened a bottle of red wine and enjoyed the evening at Caliber Oak...outside. We were truly reminded how tremendously blessed we are with this very special place and its serenity. Maybe this is one of the reasons our brides are not 'over the top' stressed for their wedding days. There's a certain calm that washes over you out here... We are so thankful to have such a treasure tuc

I forget how cozy this place really is!
Ok, in all fairness, this particular cozy corner of our beloved chapel is rarely visited by the Cap for any length of time... The bride's room alcove is one of my favorite features of the place. Relaxing, calming, and intimate. I love to think about how many ladies have spent their wedding days preparing in just this space. It's neat. When I look at the Monet print on the wall, I always think of when Miss Denise and I bought it. It was our first Christmas together in 1

EVERYONE loved their wedding! Smash!
Their big day really was a smash-hit from moment 1. These two are truly delightful and genuinely fit together just right. Both of them are quick with a smile and a laugh (which is a good foil for Cap's bad humor!) and sincerely fun to be around. Their wedding was no exception. Intimate, genuine, tasteful and relaxed. Just perfect. Our team truly enjoyed making the day even more special, and we all ended the evening with a contented sigh, as we knew we made their wedding
